Every parent wants their child to be cared for and that becomes even more important with medically fragile children. PediaTrust understands that need and is committed to supporting families, touching lives and bringing hope. That commitment shines through in the children we care for and the parents we serve.

Here are just a few of the kind words parents are saying about PediaTrust.

The comfort of knowing she’s in good hands

As a parent you’re often concerned when a child falls or may need an EpiPen when you’re miles away. Well how about a parent with a medically fragile child? A fall could be the difference of life or death. Not getting oxygen treatment in time could be fatal. Even forgetting to provide a dosage at the right time could result in hospitalization.

PediaTrust specializes in providing care for medically fragile children. PediaTrust has nurses, teachers, and therapists available. They incorporate outdoor learning activities based on individual disabilities so that our little ones can grow and learn at their own pace. PediaTrust has made a world of difference for my family.

After I had my daughter who is diagnosed with Frontal Encephalocele and partial cleft palate, I was unable to resume work due to local daycares in the area rejecting enrollment applications. Now that my daughter attends PediaTrust I can work with the comfort of knowing she’s in good hands. There should be more PediaTrust’s everywhere so that families with medically fragile children like myself can have the same comfort in knowing their child is learning while receiving the best care!

Best wishes,

She is loved and cared for each day

I am writing this letter to inform you of the immense impact PediaTrust has on our daughter and on the dynamics of a working class family.

Our daughter and her twin sisters were born at 27 weeks. Unfortunately, being born that early comes with many long term and short-term effects. Our daughter, Emery, started PediaTrust immediately after her 8.5month NICU stay. We live in an area where home nursing is pretty much non-existent.

PediaTrust was our only option at the time, but it turned out to be the best option we could ever hope for! Our daughter is able to have a secure and reliable place to go each day and receive the daily therapies she needs to learn to grow and thrive. My husband and I both work full time jobs that require us to be at work every day. I am a teacher and he works in law enforcement. It’s not an easy task to call in because your child’s nurse doesn’t show up. At PediaTrust, we don’t have to worry about that! Unfortunately, the stability of in-home nursing is okay at best and in turn makes it almost impossible for working parents to hold a steady job or career.

It is so nice to know we can drop our daughter off at place where she is loved and cared for each day and have an amazing nurse drop her off in the afternoons. I honestly cannot imagine how our lives might be different without the care our daughter receives at PediaTrust. Before learning about PediaTrust, my husband and I wondered how we might make it on one income because of the horror stories we heard about in-home nursing. Luckily, we never had to experience what so many other parents of medically fragile children have experienced. The need for centers like PediaTrust is certainly there! It can change lives for some of our most vulnerable and special people, and it can most definitely change the financial dynamics of a family. I honestly cannot say enough positive things about PediaTrust and how much our daughter has improved in all aspects of her life since starting there!

Sincerely,

Melissa Wylie

A huge burden was lifted

Our family is so very thankful for PediaTrust! PediaTrust was an answered prayer for our family. Life can be very stressful and difficult at times when you have a child or family member with special needs.

My husband and I have always worked outside the home which resulted in putting our children in daycare. As my son’s disease progressed we were not able to keep him at a regular daycare. We were worried what our next step would be. We knew there was a possibility that I may have to stay home. We were fortunate to find a friend of ours who was willing to come and take care of him at home while we worked. She was with us for 2 years but had to give it up due to her spouse being sent out of town for work. There we were in the same position again and unsure where to turn at this point. I started looking into work I could do from home. In the meantime we heard word of PediaTrust. I have never heard of a place like this and started researching and found there were other PediaTrust locations. I wasn’t sure if our son would qualify but he did. A huge burden was lifted and we knew we were going to be fine.

PediaTrust is a wonderful place for our son. The administration and nurses are amazing! We have been extremely pleased with the care our son receives. They are able to administer his weekly infusion and we don’t have to worry about a nurse coming to the house to do this in the evenings or weekend. He receives therapy there. He receives educational services. The staff is always doing fun and exciting activities with them. PediaTrust also offers transportation services, which allows our son to attend school part time and PediaTrust the other time. We can’t say enough wonderful things about this place. We are truly blessed to have them in town.
